
Hotel Citere — Odoo Implementation to Integrate Hotel Operations, POS, Inventory, and Financial Reporting
Company Overview
Citere Resort Hotel is an accommodation destination in Pangalengan, Bandung, offering a cool mountain atmosphere with bungalow and standard rooms. The hotel provides complete facilities such as a swimming pool, restaurant, breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. With guest services spanning reservations, front office operations, and restaurant transactions, Hotel Citere required an integrated system to ensure smooth daily operations and reliable reporting.
Situation (Before Implementation)
Before implementing Odoo, hotel operations and POS activities were managed separately. This separation created gaps between front office processes and cashier/restaurant operations, making it difficult to maintain consistent data across services. Financial reporting was not integrated with operational activities, which increased manual consolidation work and reduced visibility over real operational performance. In addition, the hotel faced challenges in managing stock and transactions, impacting control over inventory usage and transaction traceability.
Challenges
Hotel Citere needed to address three core issues:
- Hotel operations and POS were handled in separate systems.
- No integrated financial reporting system connected to operations.
- Difficulties in managing inventory stock and transactions.
Odoo Solution Implemented
To unify hospitality operations and strengthen control, Odoo was implemented with integrated modules:
- Hotel Management Module for Reservations, Rooms, and Services. The Hotel Management module integrated reservations, room management, and service handling into a single operational flow to improve coordination and visibility.
- POS for Hotel/Restaurant Cashier Operations. POS was implemented to support hotel and restaurant cashier operations, ensuring transaction recording was consistent and connected to the operational system.
- Inventory & Accounting for Stock Control and Financial Reporting. Inventory and Accounting modules were used to manage stock and support integrated financial reporting, enabling more structured control over goods usage and financial outputs.
Result
By implementing Odoo, Hotel Citere moved from separated systems to an integrated hospitality workflow. Reservations, room operations, and service handling became more coordinated through Hotel Management; cashier operations were streamlined with POS; and stock control plus financial reporting improved through Inventory and Accounting integration. As a result, the hotel strengthened operational consistency, improved transaction traceability, and established a more reliable foundation for day-to-day control and reporting.
